Steve was debating at first whether the program was something that he wanted to do but once he got to the house and walked through the kennel he saw Torii. Steve was hoping that he would get paired with Torii and sure enough that's the dog they paired him with. Steve talks about his family and how they feel about him bringing home a dog.
