Fireroad Digital is proud to announce the launch of a new website for Warrior's Best Friend. The goal of the site is to connect wounded warriors with trained service dogs rescued from animal shelters throughout the United States.
The website allows visitors to learn about and support the mission of Warrior's Best Friend by offering donations, recommending warriors and read short snippets of the inspirational stories of the warrior/dog teams. A visitor can also register as a supporter or virtual sponsor of the teams, which gives access to their favorite teams and allows for more overall access on the site.
About Warrior's Best Friend
Since 9/11 and the ensuing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, more than 400,000 U.S. service veterans have become disabled. One in five suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Every day these soldiers relive the horrors or war and its devastating consequences.
Medical studies prove that service dogs can help speed up a soldier’s recovery, both physically and emotionally. And unlike other treatments, service canines provide a lifetime of assistance and companionship. At premier training facilities, carefully vetted service canines go through a rigorous training process and get a new lease on life as a partner for a deserving wounded warrior. Unfortunately, many of our country’s warriors have to wait years to receive a service dog.
